Our Story
Every object carries an essence.
Rasa · Niva
Where essence lives.
In Sanskrit, rasa is essence, taste, emotion — the unseen quality that makes something alive. Niva means dwelling, abode, a place for something to rest.
Rasaniva is a house for rasa. We work with small workshops across India who have been shaping copper and brass for generations — the same materials described in the Charaka Samhita two thousand years ago. We pair them with considered design and packaging that treats the object as the ritual it was always meant to be.
Every piece we sell is practical. Every piece carries intention. That is the only combination we find interesting.
01
Made by hand
Every piece is hammered and hand-finished in small family workshops in India — not stamped out by machine. No anonymous mass-market goods.
02
Ayurvedic provenance
We don't invent rituals. We document the ones that have been practised for centuries and give you the object to try them with.
03
Considered over clever
No hype, no performative wellness — just warm, useful, beautiful objects rooted in real tradition. That is the whole pitch.
Begin the ritual.
Start with a copper bottle, a pair of cups, a set of mule mugs. Small objects that change the shape of a day.
