Set of two · 470ml each · Hand-hammered copper · Solid brass handles
Copper Mule Mugs · Set of Two
£34
The Moscow mule was born in a copper mug, and there's a reason it never left. Pour over ice and the metal frosts in seconds — copper takes the chill instantly and sits ice-cold against your palm, the way no glass ever quite manages. It's the small theatre that turns a drink into an occasion.
These are two solid copper mugs, 470ml each, with handles of solid brass — no plating, nothing to wear thin. Hand-hammered in India, so no two are exactly alike; the slight variation in the surface is the mark of the handwork, not a fault. They're built to be used and kept, an object you'll want left out on the shelf rather than buried in a cupboard.
A mule on a Friday, cold-brew coffee on a slow Sunday, a long G&T in the garden — they earn their place across the year, then come into their own the moment people are round for dinner. Sold as a pair, they make the sort of present that gets remembered.
Cold drinks only; a quick rinse after anything citrus keeps the shine. Ships from our UK warehouse with secure checkout, free 14-day cancellation, and your full statutory rights as standard.

Care, use & questions
Everything you need to keep your copper at its best.
How do I care for my copper?
Hand-wash only, with warm water and a little washing-up liquid, then dry straight away with a soft cloth. To bring back the shine, rub gently with half a lemon dipped in salt (or a cotton cloth with a little lemon juice and salt), rinse and dry. Do not put copper in the dishwasher.
Why has the colour changed?
Pure copper naturally darkens and develops a patina over time — this is normal and purely cosmetic, not a fault. Many people love the aged look and leave it. If you prefer the bright finish, the lemon-and-salt method above restores it in a minute or two.
Can I store water in it overnight?
Yes — resting water in a copper vessel overnight is the traditional Ayurvedic practice known as tamra jal, kept for generations, and these pieces are made for exactly that. Use them for plain water only — pure, unlined copper, the traditional specification.
What should I not put in it?
Water only. Avoid acidic or fizzy drinks (citrus, vinegar, carbonated drinks) and hot liquids in the bottles and dispenser, as acidity reacts with bare copper. The mugs and tumblers are made for cold drinks.
Is the copper lined?
No — every piece is unlined, pure copper inside and out, in the traditional specification. Nothing sits between the water and the metal.
Where is it made?
Each piece is hand-hammered and finished by hand in India, so no two are exactly alike. Small variations in the hammer marks are a sign of the handwork, not a defect.
How long does delivery take, and can I return it?
We deliver across the United Kingdom from our UK warehouse — EU delivery is coming soon. If something isn’t right, you have 14 days to return it for a refund; see our Shipping & Returns page for the full details.
