The Copper Ritual Set

900ml bottle + 2 mugs · Hand-hammered pure copper

The Copper Ritual Set

£45.99

Fill the bottle the night before. In the morning, pour into two mugs and hand one across the table. That small, deliberate first glass before the grey commute is tamra jal — the practice Ayurveda has kept for generations, of resting water in copper overnight. We've simply carried it into modern homes, and made it something to share.

This is the set we'd give. The 900ml pure copper bottle, paired with two 280ml brass-handled copper mugs, all unlined — nothing sits between the water and the metal. Plastic-free by design: a bare copper interior, no liner, one refillable bottle instead of a pile of single-use plastic. Cold water from solid metal simply tastes better, and these are objects worth leaving out on the counter rather than tucked in a cupboard.

Solid copper, hand-hammered in India, so no two are exactly alike — the small variations in the finish are the handwork, not a fault. Made to be used for years, not replaced. And that's the whole point: at £45.99, the bottle plus two mugs makes a considered gift that the £29.99 bottle alone never quite manages — a shared morning ritual, ready to give.

Ships from our UK warehouse, with free 14-day cancellation as standard and your full statutory rights. For clean, room-temperature water.

Care, use & questions

Everything you need to keep your copper at its best.

How do I care for my copper?

Hand-wash only, with warm water and a little washing-up liquid, then dry straight away with a soft cloth. To bring back the shine, rub gently with half a lemon dipped in salt (or a cotton cloth with a little lemon juice and salt), rinse and dry. Do not put copper in the dishwasher.

Why has the colour changed?

Pure copper naturally darkens and develops a patina over time — this is normal and purely cosmetic, not a fault. Many people love the aged look and leave it. If you prefer the bright finish, the lemon-and-salt method above restores it in a minute or two.

Can I store water in it overnight?

Yes — resting water in a copper vessel overnight is the traditional Ayurvedic practice known as tamra jal, kept for generations, and these pieces are made for exactly that. Use them for plain water only — pure, unlined copper, the traditional specification.

What should I not put in it?

Water only. Avoid acidic or fizzy drinks (citrus, vinegar, carbonated drinks) and hot liquids in the bottles and dispenser, as acidity reacts with bare copper. The mugs and tumblers are made for cold drinks.

Is the copper lined?

No — every piece is unlined, pure copper inside and out, in the traditional specification. Nothing sits between the water and the metal.

Where is it made?

Each piece is hand-hammered and finished by hand in India, so no two are exactly alike. Small variations in the hammer marks are a sign of the handwork, not a defect.

How long does delivery take, and can I return it?

We deliver across the United Kingdom from our UK warehouse — EU delivery is coming soon. If something isn’t right, you have 14 days to return it for a refund; see our Shipping & Returns page for the full details.
