Curved Copper Water Bottle

600ml or 800ml · Hand-hammered pure copper · Leakproof cap

Curved Copper Water Bottle

£27

For generations, Ayurveda has kept a quiet practice: rest your water in copper overnight, and pour the first glass come morning. Tamra jal. We've carried it into modern homes — and given it a shape that earns its place on the desk.

This is the curved one. Where our straight 900ml is the workhorse, this is the design-led alternative: a softly waisted silhouette that sits in the hand rather than fights it, with a hand-hammered surface that catches the low winter light. An object worth leaving out on the counter, not hiding in a drawer.

Inside, it's bare. Pure, unlined copper — nothing sits between the water and the metal, no plastic liner, no lacquer. One refillable bottle instead of a pile of single-use plastic, made from solid copper to be used for years. And cold water from solid metal just tastes better; you'll find it's the bottle you keep reaching for.

Choose 600ml for the bag or 800ml for the desk. Hand-hammered in India, so no two are quite alike — small variations in the finish are the handwork showing, not a fault. For still water; rinse and air-dry, and let the copper patinate as it pleases.

Ships from our UK warehouse, with free 14-day cancellation and your full statutory rights on top.

Care, use & questions

Everything you need to keep your copper at its best.

How do I care for my copper?

Hand-wash only, with warm water and a little washing-up liquid, then dry straight away with a soft cloth. To bring back the shine, rub gently with half a lemon dipped in salt (or a cotton cloth with a little lemon juice and salt), rinse and dry. Do not put copper in the dishwasher.

Why has the colour changed?

Pure copper naturally darkens and develops a patina over time — this is normal and purely cosmetic, not a fault. Many people love the aged look and leave it. If you prefer the bright finish, the lemon-and-salt method above restores it in a minute or two.

Can I store water in it overnight?

Yes — resting water in a copper vessel overnight is the traditional Ayurvedic practice known as tamra jal, kept for generations, and these pieces are made for exactly that. Use them for plain water only — pure, unlined copper, the traditional specification.

What should I not put in it?

Water only. Avoid acidic or fizzy drinks (citrus, vinegar, carbonated drinks) and hot liquids in the bottles and dispenser, as acidity reacts with bare copper. The mugs and tumblers are made for cold drinks.

Is the copper lined?

No — every piece is unlined, pure copper inside and out, in the traditional specification. Nothing sits between the water and the metal.

Where is it made?

Each piece is hand-hammered and finished by hand in India, so no two are exactly alike. Small variations in the hammer marks are a sign of the handwork, not a defect.

How long does delivery take, and can I return it?

We deliver across the United Kingdom from our UK warehouse — EU delivery is coming soon. If something isn’t right, you have 14 days to return it for a refund; see our Shipping & Returns page for the full details.
